Spoken Words

I shall speak softly
For my words may lie heavy
On the hearts of those
Who hear.

I shall speak truthfully
For my words may be chronicled
Through all eternity

I shall speak lovingly
For my words have no meaning
If spoken without heart

If I speak not softly
If I speak not truthfully
If I speak not lovingly
Let me not speak at all.
